Enable / Disable Aisles and Zones in WMS

Overview

INCREFF WMS now provides the option to manually enable and disable Aisles and Zones created in the system. Disabling zones will disable the Aisles and Locations present inside the zone. Similarly, disabling Aisles will disable the Locations inside the Aisle. 

Note: Enabling a Zone will not enable the related Aisles and Locations. This also applies to enabling Aisles

Enable Aisle(s)

Following are the steps to Enable the Aisle(s) in WMS:

  • Go to Location Configuration screen under Configuration section

  • Select the tab - Configure Aisles

  • Select the Aisle Type as either:

    • Storage

    • PigeonHole

  • Select the Action Type as Enable Aisle(s)

  • Download the sample CSV template

  • Fill in the Aisle names in the CSV and upload the file

  • Click on the Submit button

  • In case the action is successful, all aisles mentioned in the CSV file will be enabled

Disable Aisle(s)

Following are the steps to Disable the Aisle(s) in WMS:

  • Go to Location Configuration screen under Configuration section

  • Select the tab - Configure Aisles

  • Select the Aisle Type as either:

    • Storage

    • PigeonHole

  • Select the Action Type as Disable Aisle(s)

  • Download the sample CSV template

  • Fill in the Aisle names in the CSV and upload the file

  • Click on the Submit button

  • In case the action is successful, all aisles mentioned in the CSV file will be disabled

⚠️ NOTE:  Aisles cannot be disabled if live inventory exists in any of the bins in the aisle.

Enable Zone(s)

Following are the steps to Enable the Zone(s) in WMS:

  • Go to Location Configuration screen under Configuration section

  • Select the third tab - Configure Zones

  • Select the Action Type as Enable Zone

  • Enter the Zone Name in the text box

  • Click on the Submit button

  • In case the action is successful, all zones mentioned in the CSV file will be enabled

Disable Zone(s)

Following are the steps to Disable the Zone(s) in WMS:

  • Go to Location Configuration screen under Configuration section

  • Select the third tab - Configure Zones

  • Select the Action Type as Disable Zone

  • Enter the Zone Name in the text box

  • Click on the Submit button

  • In case the action is successful, 

    • All zones mentioned in the CSV file will be disabled

    • All location for

⚠️ NOTE:  Zones cannot be disabled if live inventory exists in any of the aisles in the zone.

⚠️ NOTE:  In the WMS Piece Pick Pending screen, only enabled zones will be visible during the selection of Zones.
