Marking Items as Permanently Lost

Overview

Increff WMS supports marking the items as permanently lost from the warehouse.

 

Marking items as permanently lost is applicable in the following scenarios :

  • LOST items: Items that are physically lost and are not expected to be recovered. 

  • NEW items: Item Codes for which item stickers are scanned, but there are no physical items in the warehouse. 

 

⚠️ NOTE

The item code of a permanently lost item cannot be used while re-inwarding any item. Items should be re-stickered with a new item code and inwarded in a new PO.

Currently we don’t allow permanently lost feature for NEW items created through Return GRN process

Workflow

Following are the steps to mark the items as permanently lost:

  1. Go to the Mark Permanently Lost Items screen under Audit category in WMS.

  2. Download the sample CSV template from the screen.

  3. In the CSV, enter the item codes which need to be marked as permanently lost.

  4. Upload the CSV file and click on the Submit button.

  5. Once the action is successful -

    • The items will be removed from the system

    • Audit logs will be captured

    • System will maintain the item codes which were marked as permanently lost and also the status of the item prior to marking permanently lost.

  1. Click on the Submit button.

  2. On success, all items in the CSV will be marked as permanently lost.

 

Reports   

Storage: Permanently Lost Item Details - WMS

  • This report can be used to find the permanently lost item details.

  • This can be filtered based on -

    • Lost date (permanently lost from and to dates)

    • Type

      • LOST ITEM REMOVED - Item moved from LOST status to permanently lost

      • NEW ITEM REMOVED - Item moved from NEW status to permanently lost

 

Storage: Inventory Available for Sales - OMS

  • Column Total Permanently Lost Quantity is added in this report

  • This column provides the total count of QC Pass/ Fail Inventory which got moved from lost to permanently lost.

Storage: Batch Inventory Available for Sales - OMS

  • Column Total Permanently Lost Quantity is added in this report

  • For perishable SKUs, this column provides a batch-wise total count of QC Pass/ Fail Inventory which got moved from lost to permanently lost.

Storage : GRN at Item Level Report - WMS

This report can be used to find the items that are currently in Lost state. Report needs to be filtered on Status.
