USP/SFS: External ItemCodes and External Serial Code in Packing

We are thrilled to announce the latest enhancements in the packing flow of our SFS and USP applications, designed to empower users with increased flexibility and efficiency. In this release, we introduce two key features:

  1. Use Existing External Item IDs to Pack: In Increff SFS, users can now capitalize on the convenience of utilizing pre-existing unique external item IDs during the packing process. This feature proves particularly beneficial for brands having serialized inventory or employing the Increff WMS solution for dispatches to their stores. By integrating this functionality, the workflow is streamlined, resulting in a more seamless and efficient packing experience.

  2. Capture External Serial Codes: In Increff SFS and Increff USP, we have introduced the ability for users to capture external serial codes against items to be packed. These identifiers can be seamlessly transmitted to external systems, providing enhanced traceability and integration capabilities. This feature can be utilized for capturing unique serial codes, such as IMEI numbers, etc.

Additionally, this feature enables the capturing of Myntra Tag Loop code against an item being packed, which can then be transmitted to Myntra.

These updates aim to enhance user experience, streamline operations, and provide valuable functionalities for a more robust packing process.

Use Existing External Item IDs to Pack

We're delighted to introduce a new feature in Increff SFS, offering users greater flexibility in the packing process. With this enhancement, users can now pack items using external item IDs when working with a Picklist or fulfilling a specific order.

To leverage this feature seamlessly, ensure that the External Item ID to SKU mapping is preconfigured within the system. This can be done via CSV upload or API. Once set up, users can skip the traditional step of scanning the SKU ID barcode. Instead, they can pack by directly scanning the External Item ID during packing.

Key value additions:

  • Enhanced Traceability: It ensures item-level traceability of the product being shipped.

  • Improved Accuracy: It enhances accuracy by ensuring that the wrong SKUs are never shipped.

Steps to use:

Follow the following steps to use this feature:

  1. Go to SFS Packing Screen → Configurations

  2. Turn on the ‘Capture External Item Id in pack by Picklist ID/Order ID’ toggle switch.

This feature can be utilized when packing orders from a Picklist or when packing a specific order by order ID or external item code.
