We are thrilled to introduce Boxwise Inwards, a revolutionary feature meticulously crafted to elevate warehouse efficiency and streamline operational processes. This cutting-edge addition is set to elevate warehouse efficiency, making your GRN process faster and smoother than ever before. Get ready for a whole new level of control as you can now GRN boxes sent by suppliers or returns by customers at the box level. Let's dive into the key features that will transform the way you manage your warehouse:

Key Characteristics

External Box Code Support

...

  • Box and Item code mapping details will be required by WMS to support Boxwise Inwards functionality.

  • Box and Item Code mapping can be created using CIMS UI or through APIs.

  • Below validations are present in the system to accept the box item code mapping.

    • Box and Item code mapping can be done against an ASN only after the ASN is approved. Note: Without using ASN functionality, Box and Item code mapping can’t be added in the system which is crucial for boxwise inwards and crossdocking.

    • SKU-wise total items in all the boxes that are provided in the CSV file/ API request, should not exceed the approved qty for each SKU in the ASN.

    • ASN-BOX-Item mapping can be requested multiple times (paginated) until gate entry is created for the ASN. For a box, the user should provide all item information at the same request.

Boxwise inwards Workflow

Using Increff Serial Code Application(InSC) for Boxwise Inwards

  • Utilize InSC application(another Increff product) to print Item Codes and create box packing lists at the manufacturing end. Refer Signing up with InSC document for signing up for InSC.

  • Suppliers can map the box codes to items while packing the items for dispatch.

  • Seamlessly receive ASN, mapping of ASN to Box IDs at Increff WMS using built-in integration, simplifying the entire process.

  1. Gate Entry and Box Receiving

    1. Gate Entry Process
A gate entry can be generated following the existing process with modifications in certain steps like Box ID printing will not be required.

    2. Box Receiving

    3. Inward Staging Putaway(Box Putaway or Pallet Putaway)
Inward staging area serves as an organized holding space for incoming boxes. It is a designated space within a warehouse where inward boxes after receiving are temporarily stored for the GRN process or Sample QC(sample QC is required for Box-wise Inwards or Box-wise Crossdock based on defined Inspection percentages).

  2. Sample QC Workflow
Implemented a dynamic sampling QC process, empowering operators to perform cycle counts and QC on a sample of boxes per supplier.

    1. It Ensures the quality of received items with options for QC pass, QC fail, or Extra items.

    2. The implementation of a Sample QC workflow is crucial for ensuring the quality and precision of items received in boxes, especially with box-wise inward flow.

    3. Setting a specified percentage for sample QC at the supplier level is essential to validate the accuracy of Box and Item mapping. Achieving the designated percentage result is necessary for subsequent processes like Gate entry approval, stringent inventory control, and efficient warehouse operations.

    4. Additionally, clients have the flexibility to skip sample QC for trusted suppliers, enhancing operational efficiency while maintaining rigorous quality control when needed.

    5. Sample QC consists of below 2 processes:

      1. Inspection Picking & Inspection ProcessGate Entry Approval Processpicking

      2. Box inspection

  3. Storage Picking and Box GRN
