Overview

There are some enhancements made in the Workflow of GRN Screen which will enhance user experience to have multiple options in a single view Configurations tab.

Below mentioned are the updates made as part of the Enhancement.

GRN Screen Configurations Update

  • The GRN configuration screen has now been divided into 2 subsections.

    1. The scannable field for GRN: The user can choose the scannable field between barcode and custom SKU Attributes

    2. Select Type of GRN: Toggles have been replaced with radio buttons(single configuration selection at a time).

  • Renamed UI configurations in the GRN screen to improve clarity and understanding

Below mentioned are details about GRN Type selection:

GRN Type Button

Use case

Default

GRN of Item Codes without SKU Mapping (Previously Transition to Increff WMS screen)

New Configuration settings for the GRN screen named GRN of Item Codes without SKU Mapping is added. This option allows users to perform GRN operations for items without SKU mapping, previously handled in the Transition to Omni WMS screen.

GRN of Items with pre-printed Item Codes (Item Codes Stickers will not be printed)

GRN of Items with pre-printed Item Codes with SKU scan (Item Codes Stickers will not be printed)

GRN of Multiple Items of same SKU (Multiple Item Codes for an SKU can be printed at once)

GRN of EXTRA status Items against discrepancy PO

This configuration will allow the GRN of the EXTRA items in a discrepancy PO. A discrepancy PO is created for items received in excess or not included in the original purchase order. These items, initially assigned an "EXTRA" status, can be stored, discarded, or inwarded against the discrepancy PO.

Such Extra items can be GRNed against discrepancy PO if user decides to inward Extra items.

GRN of NEW status items

This configuration is used for the GRN of items with a NEW status. The NEW status is assigned to an item when it is first received and scanned into the system during the GRN process.

Suppose the system got refreshed after scanning the Item Code in GRN. The item would be stuck in NEW status. While retrying these items, there is no need to scan the Barcode and inward box id. Such items should be GRNed only by enabling GRN of NEW status items configuration.

GRN of Items with External Item Codes

This configuration allows users to use their own external item codes for itemizing products instead of using Increff generated Item IDs. The SKU and External Item Code mapping will happen during GRN where SKU barcode and External Item Code will be scanned for mapping.

GRN of Items with External Item Codes already mapped to SKUs

The GRN type GRN of Items with External Item Codes already mapped to SKUs can be used when External Serial Codes are already mapped to SKUs Eg, mapping done using CSV upload or mapped Item Codes generated by InSC(Increff Serial Code) tool. Here, the SKU barcode scan will not be required during GRN.

GRN and Transition to Omni WMS screen updates

  1. New Configuration settings for the GRN screen named GRN of Item Codes without SKU Mapping is added. This option allows users to perform GRN operations for items without SKU mapping, previously handled in the Transition to Omni WMS screen.

  2. Transition to Omni WMS screen is removed.

  3. This change is made to simplify the user interface and workflow.

  4. It will facilitate the same use case of Transition to Omni WMS screen, ie, easy movement of stock from existing WMS to Increff WMS. The material did not need to move out of the bin locations and took minimal effort(Item stickering, Bin stickering, and GRN). No disruption to the existing warehouse operations would occur as a result.

Easily switch between Internal and External item codes in WMS

Users will now be given the option to use the Brands own External Item Codes (External Item code) along with Increff Omni-generated Internal Item Codes (Internal item codes) for managing the serialized inventory of the products in the Increff WMS System. Earlier the system could either use internal Item Codes or external Item Codes due to restriction of the configuration.

Local configuration in WMS GRN screen

Default GRN can be used by the user where Increff Item Codes are generated and scanned. Users can use the below configurations to use the External Item Codes. Users can switch between these configurations on a need basis anytime.

The GRN type GRN of Items with External Item Codes can be used when external Item codes are available on items for GRN. The SKU and External Item Code mapping will happen during GRN where SKU barcode and External Item Code will be scanned for mapping.

Usage in Bulk Break Screen

The bulk Break screen also supports either using the external Item Codes or printing Increff Item Codes. Use External Item Codes toggle has been added.

  • If the toggle is off, Increff Item Code stickers will get generated and printed. The same should be used in any further processes.

  • If the toggle is on, the user can use existing External Serial Codes. Here, Increff Item Codes won’t be generated.

Internal Item codes and External Item codes both can be scanned in any WMS workflows screens where Item code inputs are required.

  • No labels
