Enhanced Visibility of Previously Returned Items for Detailed QC
New feature improves visibility of returned items, aiming to reduce returns by providing detailed information at critical packing and QC stages. Enabled by Increff's focus on serialization.
Objective
Goal: Reduce item returns by highlighting previously returned items for more thorough QC checks, preventing re-shipment of likely return items, and facilitating easy identification during return order processing.
How It Works
This feature will display information about items that have been shipped in forward orders and subsequently returned. Specifically, it will showcase the count of returns for each item and provide detailed reasons for these returns as specified by customers or marketplaces. This information will be available on three key screens within the WMS: Packing, Return Processing, and Recycle Desk.
Detailed Information Display
Count of Returns: The system will display how many times an item has been returned.
Return Reasons: The latest three return reasons for each item will be shown in the UI. We assume that return reasons provided by marketplaces are accurate and available for display during return order creation.
Visual Representation: Information is presented in a clear and easily recognizable manner to ensure immediate recognition by operators without causing distractions.
Screens and Functionality
Packing Screen: The system indicates whether the item being packed has been previously returned with reasons.
Benefit: Operators can prioritize QC and necessary processes Eg, ironing to ensure the quality of the item before shipping or decide to mark the item as QC fail.
Return Processing Screen: Visibility of previously returned items and reasons for return has been provided.
Benefit: This ensures proactive identification of potential issues, preventing defective items from being mistakenly marked as QC Pass and re-entering the inventory.
Recycle Desk Screen: Similar visibility as the Return Processing screen, aiding in the identification and handling of frequently returned items.
Benefit: Helps in managing inventory by preventing defective items from being re-circulated to customers when any items are lying on the ground after order cancellation or any suspicious items present in the warehouse.
