SFS: Enhancements in order hopping due to Maximum Acceptance Time of stores

What to Expect

The recent enhancements around the order hopping due to the Maximum Acceptance Time(MAT) of stores in the Store Fulfillment System (SFS) are designed to provide more control and flexibility, ensuring smoother and more efficient order fulfillment processes. These updates allow for configurable options to disable auto-hopping at the channel level and ensure orders remain allocated to the current location if inventory is unavailable after MAT for the order is breached.

Impact

  • Enhanced Control: Stores can now disable auto-hopping at the channel level on MAT breach, retaining orders for extended periods if needed.

  • Optimized Order Management: Ensures orders are not stranded if inventory becomes unavailable at alternate locations.

  • Improved Order Fulfillment: Potentially reduces unfulfillable orders, reducing business loss.

Highlights

  • Configuration to Disable Auto Hopping of orders for a channel at MAT breach:

    • Overview: Introduced a setting to disable the auto-hopping feature, allowing stores to retain orders at a specific location.

    • Significance: Provides greater control over order allocation processes.

    • Steps to Use: Configure this setting from Steps to use section

  • Order Retention Post MAT Breach:

    • Overview: If inventory is not available at other locations after the MAT breach, orders will remain allocated to the current location.

    • Significance: Prevents orders from remaining unfulfillable, ensuring they stay in the fulfillment process.

    • Steps to Use: This will be the default behavior.
