DO NOT MISS THIS 
This tutorial provides a step by step guide to use IRIS, with demo data. It takes 1 hour to go through this tutorial. Your time will be well invested to get well versed with this super intelligent and simple merchandising technology. 

Software Requirements

All you need is

  • Latest Microsoft Excel software, to be able to open and view demo data files

  • Google Chrome browser

Demo Data

Please download the  demo data zip file , and unzip it on your computer. It contains following demo files which can be uploaded in various IRIS modules. All MRP, sales, AOP are in INR (Indian Rupees). You can simply right click on these files, and open with Microsoft Excel. Kindly make sure that files of each module are uploaded in order as given below.

  • demo_store.tsv – store master data

  • demo_attributes.tsv – product attributes master data

  • demo_style.tsv – styles master data

  • demo_cat_size_sets.tsv – sizes master data

  • demo_sku.tsv – sku master data

  • demo_sales.tsv – sales transactions data

  • demo_parent_child_sku.tsv-(Optional Input) parent child mapping of SKUs

  • demo_new_store_mapping.tsv-(Optional Input) new and reference stores master data

  • demo_aop.tsv – annual operating plan data

  • demo_planogram.tsv – store planogram

  • demo_storestock.tsv – current store inventory

  • demo_whstock.tsv – current warehouse inventory

  • demo_cat_style_size_qty.tsv –(Optional Input) minimum number of sizes required to distribute a style

  • demo_key_size_override.tsv – (Optional Input) minimum number of sizes required to distribute a style

  • demo_returns.tsv – returns transaction data

  • demo_ru_sales.tsv regional utilization customer pincode level sales transaction data

  • demo_partner_pin_wh_map.tsv – Pincode-ideal source warehouse mapping

  • demo_ru_region_whcapacity.tsv – regional warehouse stock capacity

  • demo_ru_region_whstock.tsv – current regional warehouse inventory

  • demo_ru_mother_whstock.tsv – current mother warehouse inventory

  • demo_returns.tsv – returns data

  • demo_historical_aop.tsv – Historical Annual Plan(AOP)

  • demo_store_stock.tsv – Store Stock

  • demo_warehouse_stock.tsv – Warehouse Stock

  • demo_style_attributes.tsv – Attributes for STR report

  • demo_online_analytics.tsv – online partner sale and page views data

Projects

project is an independent set of data you can use for analysis. You can use projects to organize your analysis as per your Business Units (BU). You can also use projects to do any testing work.

  1. Go to the Projects Section

  2. Create a new project

  3. Select it as the current project

Masters Module

  1. Go to the Masters Module

  2. Read about this module in the above link

  3. Click on the Inputs link

  4. Upload the demo_store.tsv using the Store Master file upload button

  5. Upload the demo_attributes.tsv using the Attributes Master file upload button

  6. Upload the demo_style.tsv using the Styles Master file upload button

  7. Upload the demo_cat_size_sets.tsv using the Size Master file upload button

  8. Upload the demo_sku.tsv using the SKU Master file upload button

  9. Upload the demo_sales.tsv using the Sales file upload button. You can see the uploads running in the File Upload Logs text area. For large sales data, the upload can be done in multiple smaller file chunks.

  10. (Optional) Upload the demo_parent_child_sku.tsv using the Parent Child SKU Mapping file upload button. You can see the uploads running in the File Upload Logs text area.

  11. (Optional) Upload the demo_new_store_mapping.tsv using the New Store Mapping file upload button. You can see the uploads running in the File Upload Logs text area.

  12. Click on the Outputs link

  13. Play with various reports which show you various outputs of this module

Sales Data Cleanup

  1. Go to the Sales Data Cleanup Module

  2. Read about this module in the above link

  3. Click on the Inputs link. Familiarize yourself with various Settings

  4. Click on the Run Algo link

  5. Click the Run button. You can see the algorithms running in the Module Logs text area

  6. Click on the Outputs link

  7. Play with various reports which show you various outputs of this module

Top Sellers Module

  1. Go to the Top Sellers Module

  2. Read about this module in the above link

  3. Click on the Inputs link. Familiarize yourself with various Settings

  4. Click on the Run Algo link

  5. Click the Run button. You can see the algorithms running in the Module Logs text area

  6. Click on the Outputs link

  1. Go to the Distribution Module

  4. Upload the demo_planogram.tsv using the Store Planogram file upload button. You can see the uploads running in the File Upload Logs text area

  5. Upload the demo_storestock.tsv using the Store Stock file upload button. You can see the uploads running in the File Upload Logs text area

  6. Upload the demo_whstock.tsv using the Warehouse Stock file upload button. You can see the uploads running in the File Upload Logs text area

  7. (Optional) Upload the demo_cat_style_size_qty.tsv using the Category Style Size Quantity file upload button. You can see the uploads running in the File Upload Logs text area

  8. (Optional) Upload the demo_key_size_override.tsv using the Key Size Override file upload button. You can see the uploads running in the File Upload Logs text area.

  9. Click on the Run Algo link

  10. Click the Run button. You can see the algorithms running in the Module Logs text area

  11. Click on the Outputs link

  12. Play with various reports which show you various outputs of this module.

Regional Utilization

  1. Go to the Regional Utilization Module

  2. Read about this module in the above link

  3. Click on the Inputs link. Familiarize yourself with various Settings

  4. Upload the demo_attributes.tsv using the Attributes Master file upload button

  5. Upload the demo_style.tsv using the Styles Master file upload button

  6. Upload the demo_cat_size_sets.tsv using the Size Master file upload button

  7. Upload the demo_sku.tsv using the SKU Master file upload button

  9. Upload the demo_partner_pin_wh_map.tsv using the Partner Pincode-Warehouse Map file upload button. You can see the uploads running in the File Upload Logs text area

  10. Upload the demo_ru_region_whcapacity.tsv using the Regional Warehouse Capacity file upload button. You can see the uploads running in the File Upload Logs text area

  11. Upload the demo_ru_region_whstock.tsv using the Regional Warehouse Stock file upload button. You can see the uploads running in the File Upload Logs text area

  12. Upload the demo_ru_mother_whstock.tsv using the Mother Warehouse Stock file upload button. You can see the uploads running in the File Upload Logs text area

  13. Click on the Run Algo link

  14. Click the Run button. You can see the algorithms running in the Module Logs text area

  15. Click on the Outputs link

Business Intelligence (BI)

  1. Go to the BI Module

  2. Read about this module in the above link

  3. Click on the Inputs link

  4. Upload the demo_returns.tsv using the Returns file upload buton

  5. Upload the demo_historical_aop.tsv using the and Historical Annual Plan (AOP) file upload button.

  6. Upload the demo_store_stock.tsv using the and Store Stock file upload button.

  7. Upload the demo_warehouse_stock.tsv using the and Warehouse Stock file upload button.

  8. Upload the demo_style_attributes.tsv using the and Style Attributes file upload button.

  9. You can see the uploads running in the File Upload Logs text area. For large returns data, the upload can be done in multiple smaller file chunks

  10. Click on the Reports link

  11. Play with various reports which show you various outputs of this module.

Online Analytics

  1. Go to the Online Analytics Module

  2. Read about this module in the above link

  3. Click on the Inputs link

  4. Upload the demo_online_analytics.tsv using the Online Analytics file upload button. You can see the uploads running in the File Upload Logs text area. For large returns data, the upload can be done in multiple smaller file chunks

  5. Click on the Reports link

  6. Play with various reports which show you various outputs of this module.
