We are pleased to introduce a new feature in our B2B packing workflow: a configurable Quality Control (QC) option. This enhancement allows users to perform QC checks during the packing process, ensuring higher accuracy and better quality management for B2B orders.
Key Features
Configurable QC Option:
Users can enable or disable the QC option for B2B packing at the device level.
Enhanced QC Layout:
When QC is enabled, a new layout appears during the packing process, showing SKU information with images and attributes to aid in QC.
Users can enlarge images temporarily for a better view without disrupting the workflow.
Marking Items as QC Pass or QC Fail:
QC Pass: If an item passes QC, users can place it in the box. The system will automatically mark it as QC pass when the next item is scanned.
QC Fail: If an item fails QC, users can click the "Mark item as QC Fail" button. The item will be removed from the box and marked as QC fail, with a confirmation message shown to the user.
Data Logging:
The system will log user details and timestamps for all QC pass/fail events for future analysis and reporting.
Benefits
Improved Quality Control: Ensures that only items that pass QC are packed, reducing errors and improving customer satisfaction.
Increased Efficiency: The new layout and clear instructions make the QC process seamless and efficient.
Better Data Management: Detailed logs help in tracking QC events and analyzing patterns for continuous improvement.
User Interaction
Enabling QC:
Users can toggle the QC option in the bulk packing screen.
QC Process Workflow:
Step 1: Scan the Box code.
Step 2: Scan the first item.
Step 3: The system displays SKU details and attributes for QC.
Step 4: If the item passes QC, place it in the box and scan the next item.
Step 5: If the item fails QC, click "Mark item as QC Fail," and the system will remove it from the box and mark it as failed.
Assumptions
The bulk order QC feature may not be relevant for all clients, so it can be configured accordingly.
Out of Scope
The inclusion of Order Item attributes will be considered in future updates.
