Enhancements in Video Capturing Configuration
We have introduced a significant update to the Increff WMS that brings enhanced flexibility and control over video capturing during Forward / Return processing. This update focuses on providing more granular control at both the channel and warehouse levels, streamlining operations, and ensuring better compliance and security.
To access the Video capturing configuration, Go to WMS Home → Configuration → Video Capture Configuration.
Channel-Level Configuration for Video Capturing
In the latest update, we have expanded enabling or disabling video capturing functionality. Previously, this feature was only available at the warehouse level, but now users can customize video capture settings for Forward and Return processing on a channel-by-channel basis. This enhancement provides more flexibility and control over video-capturing configurations.
Intuitive User Interface for Configuration
To facilitate this new level of control, we've introduced a user-friendly interface similar to the existing Picklist Configuration screen. This interface displays a list of channels, allowing users to easily toggle video capturing settings (enable/disable) for each specific channel. The interface includes options for both forward video capturing and return video capturing, offering comprehensive control over video capture operations.
NAS Configuration
NAS Credentials Requirement: The activation of video capturing for Forward or Return processing is contingent upon the provision of NAS credentials for the respective warehouse. This ensures that video data is securely stored and managed.
NAS Configuration Enhancements: We've made improvements to the NAS configuration process, including the introduction of separate columns for forward and return orders. Additionally, the 'View Password' option has been removed during NAS configuration to enhance security.
Restricted Access and Enhanced Security
Modifying these configurations is restricted to users with wms_admin privileges, ensuring that only authorized personnel can make changes to the system settings. This measure is in place to maintain system integrity and security.
Device-Level Configuration for Base Folder Name
A new configuration option allows for the overriding of the baseFolderName at the device level. This setting is designed to be persistent in local storage, offering additional flexibility and customization for video storage management.
This update is part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing the Increff WMS platform, providing users with more control, security, and efficiency in their warehouse operations.
