Get familiar with the new changes/ enhancements

Enhancing Top Seller identification

  • Earlier in allocation module, Top sellers were identified on the basis of revenue per day benchmark and min live days criteria at a category level. This lead to an increased likelihood of high price range articles being identified as Top Seller

  • To increase the accuracy, Revenue/Day condition of a top seller is now moved to the category+price bucket level

Refining size set calculation to be met at style level during allocation

  • Initially during allocations, the size set gets divided amongst all sizes present in the Attribute Group. This disregards the possibility of a style not having all the sizes of that Attribute group in which case, the size set would not be met. For example: If an AG has 8 sizes while a style only has 5 sizes, the allocation was being done for 5 sizes in the contribution of the sizes in the AG i.e. only 60% of the size set was being met leading to the allocation quantity less than that of the size set

  • Now, the size depth calculation is getting normalized at the style level which would ensure that the entire size set is being sent to the store

Introducing input parameters to maintain cover days for Top Sellers

  • Initially in the allocation module, ‘Additional DOH cover for Top Sellers’ was the input parameter that directly identified cover days for Top Sellers

  • Now, two new input parameters ‘Additional % cover days multiplier for Top sellers’ and ‘Increment Max SKU depth for Top sellers’ under the Top Seller section have been added

  • New cover days formula for the top sellers would be: repl_cycle_days * Additional % cover days multiplier for Top sellers (repl_cycle_days is a column found in Planogram input)

‘Max SKU depth’ in case of top sellers would get incremented as per the 'Additional % cover days multiplier for Top sellers'. This is done via the toggle- ‘Increment Max SKU depth for Top sellers’. If the 'Increment Max SKU depth for top sellers' is set to “Yes” then the Max SKU depth formula for top sellers would be: round(max SKU depth * Additional % cover days multiplier for Top sellers)

Other value addition

Renaming “Style Level Merchandise Tagging” input in BI module

  • Initially there were two inputs under the same name “Style Level Merchandise Tagging”.

  • To avoid any chance of uncertainty, “Style Level Merchandise Tagging” has been renamed to “BI Style Merchandise Tagging” in BI module.
