Get familiar with the new changes/ enhancements

Introduction of the Depth Suggestion module

  • Earlier, users could only give the depth per style at a channel-store-category-sub category level

  • Now, with the launch of the latest module- Depth suggestion under the Miscellaneous section, users can specify the depth at a store-style level

  • Following are the inputs under “Data Upload” for the new module:

    • Cover Days: Defines depth of a style at a store

...

Following are the Config inputs under “Basic” for the new module

...

Minimum Shelf Life for ROS Calculation: Minimum number of days a style should be live in the analysis period at a store to be considered for rolled-up ROS calculation of styles enabled for Depth Suggestion.

...

Enforcing 0 Store Group-Style Discount Override in the Markdown Optimization module

  • Earlier, despite giving 0 overrides in the 'Store Group-Style Discount Override' input in the Markdown Optimization module, the store group-style combinations which were expected to not have any discount recommendation were showing otherwise.

  • To eliminate this, we have enhanced the tool to not recommend any discount for the store group-style combinations with 0 override but at the same time consider these combinations for calculation of discount target

Enhancing Max SKU depth input in the Allocation module

...

Earlier, the ‘Minimum Pivotal Depth’ column under the ‘Max SKU depth’ input used to define the cumulative depth across all pivotal SKUs for a store-style combination

...

Now, the column would define individual depth for each SKU across all store-style combinations

...

Enhancing Top Seller identification

  • Earlier in the Allocation module, Top sellers were being identified on the basis of revenue per day benchmark and minimum live days criteria at a category level. This led to an increase in the likelihood of high-price range articles being identified as Top Sellers.

  • To increase the accuracy, the Revenue/Day condition to identify a Top seller is now moved to the category+price bucket level.

Refining size set calculation to be met at style level during allocation

  • Initially, during allocations, the size set used to get divided among all sizes present in the Attribute Group (AG). This disregarded the possibility of a style not having all the sizes of that Attribute group in which case, the size set would not be met. For example: If an Attribute Group has eight sizes and a style within this Attribute Group has only five sizes, then, allocation was being done for size contribution based on those five sizes as opposed to the size contribution of eight sizes i.e. only 60% of the size set was being met.

  • Now, the size depth calculation is getting normalized at the style level which will ensure the entire size set is being sent to the store.

Introducing input parameters to maintain cover days for Top Sellers

  • Initially in the Allocation module, ‘Additional DOH cover for Top Sellers’ was the input parameter that directly identified cover days for Top Sellers.

  • Now, two new input parameters ‘Additional % cover days multiplier for Top sellers’ and ‘Increment Max SKU depth for Top sellers’ under the Top Seller section have been added.

  • The new cover days formula for the top sellers will be: repl_cycle_days * Additional % cover days multiplier for Top sellers (repl_cycle_days is a column found in Planogram input)

‘Max SKU depth’ in case of top sellers will get incremented as per the 'Additional % cover days multiplier for Top sellers'. This is done via the toggle ‘Increment Max SKU depth for Top sellers’. If the 'Increment Max SKU depth for top sellers' is set to “Yes” then the Max SKU depth formula for top sellers will be: round (max SKU depth * Additional % cover days multiplier for Top sellers)

Other value addition

Renaming “Style Level Merchandise Tagging” input in the Business Intelligence (BI) module

  • Earlier there were two inputs under the same name “Style Level Merchandise Tagging”.

  • To avoid any chance of uncertainty, “Style Level Merchandise Tagging” has been renamed to “BI Style Merchandise Tagging” in the BI module.
