Summary

The recent update to the WMS brings significant improvements to the gate entry process and related functionalities. The Box ID generation is now separated into its own screen, simplifying the initial steps of gate entry creation. Users can reprint Inward Box ID stickers through a dedicated screen. Search functionalities within the gate entry screen have been refined for easier data retrieval. The update also introduces a redirection mechanism from the gate entry screen to the "Receive Inward Box" screen, offering users a choice to remain or proceed. The receiving process now supports both external and internal box codes, with flexibility for different operational needs. An Inward Staging Area & Location Configuration has been established for organized storage of incoming boxes awaiting further processing. These enhancements aim to improve operational control and efficiency in warehouse management operations.

  3. Inward Staging Area & Location Configuration for Inward Staging

    • This area serves as an organized holding space for incoming boxes. It is a designated space within a warehouse where inward boxes after receiving are temporarily stored for the GRN process or Sample QC(sample QC is required for Box-wise Inwards or Box-wise Crossdock).

    • Inward Staging Putaway & Pallet wise Putaway

      • The Inward Staging putaway/pallet-wise putaway process will be used for the temporary storage of boxes for boxwise inwards and crossdock to later do sample QC and gate entry approval.

      • Additionally, inward staging putaway would help in the piece-wise GRN flow. The use case: When the GRN start date of the items received in the gate entry is some days after the receiving date of the material.
