Enhancements

Key Features

Splitting and Routing

Assure is now equipped with features to handle splitting and routing of B2C outward orders to the INCREFF managed fulfillment systems. To know more details please refer to the Splitting and Routing in INCREFF Assure

Overview

Sub Order

An Outward Order splits into 1 or more Sub Orders in Assure. Sub Orders get fulfilled by different INCREFF fulfillment locations. To know more, refer to Sub Order

Splitting and Routing Algorithms

Assure provides two algorithms for splitting and routing based on the following principles:

  • Minimise Distance - The minimize-distance algorithm attempts to split the order in such a way that the order is fulfilled from those locations first that are nearest to the delivery area-code.

  • Minimise Shipment - The minimize-shipments algorithm attempts to split the order in such a way that the number of sub-orders created in different fulfillment locations is minimized.

Splitting and Routing algorithms can be configured at the client level. To know more, refer to Splitting Routing Algo Selection.

Cluster

A Cluster represents a group of fulfillment locations (stores or warehouses) identified by a unique cluster name. To know more, refer to Cluster Configuration.

Area-Cluster Mapping

The area-cluster mapping is used to map delivery locations to specific clusters from which the order fulfillment will be attempted. Mappings are required for Minimise Delivery algorithm to execute and will be used (if provided) for last-level optimizations by Minimise Shipments algorithm. To know more, refer to Area Cluster Mapping Configuration.

Serializing Items Using External Item-Codes

  • On enabling the item-code configuration, clients will be able to use their custom, external item codes for serializing products instead of using the system-generated Item IDs. These item codes can be scanned in all the screens/inputs where Item IDs are required.

  • Item codes can be mapped to SKUs before GRN as well as during GRN

  • Item level auditing will be done using item codes as their identifier

  • For more information, please refer to Serializing Items Using External Item-Codes

Product Usability

Outward Order Processing Changes in OMS

To support the splitting and routing functionality, the overall user experience of creating, searching and other actions related to an Outward Order has changed. To know about all the changes in detail, please refer to Order Processing Changes

Return Order Processing Changes in OMS

  • Return Orders creation for Outward Orders split/route by Assure can have any Fulfillment Location in the Return Order Expectation.

  • For Outward Orders not split / route by Assure, Return Order Expectations still need to mandatorily have the same fulfillment location from which the single Sub Order of the Outward Order was dispatched.

  • For Return Order Processing With Expectation, Return Orders can only be processed in the Fulfillment Location provided in the Return Order Expectation.

  • For Return Order Processing Without Expectation,

    • Return Orders against the Outward Orders not split / route by Assure can only be processed in the Fulfillment Location from which the Sub Order of the associated Outward Order got dispatched.

    • Return Orders against the Outward Orders split/route by Assure can be processed from any INCREFF managed Fulfillment Location.

UI / UX Changes

New Screens

  • Clusters - The screen provides the functionality to view, create and edit Clusters

  • Cluster Definition - The screen provides the functionality to view, add and delete locations in a cluster

  • Area Cluster Mapping - The screen provides the functionality to map Area Code Prefixes with already defined Clusters priority wise

  • Primary Routing Algorithm - The tab is introduced in Clients screen to select the splitting and routing algorithm applicable for the client

  • Sub-Order - The tab is introduced in Search Order (Outward Order Section) screen to view and edit Sub Orders

  • Outward Order - The tab is introduced in Search Order (Outward Order Section) screen to view Outward Orders

Modified Screens

  • Home

    • Separate Inward and Outward Orders Section

    • New Split / Route Settings Section

  • Create Inward Order - CSV upload template has been changed. The following fields are  required only at the order line item level while uploading

    • Ordered Quantity

    • Cost Price

  • Create Outward Order - CSV upload now allows providing more than one Expected Batch ID for an expirable order line item.

  • Audit Logs screen is moved to separate Section - Audits

Renamed Screens

  • Order Cancellation screen has been renamed to Sub-Order Cancellation screen

    • Cancel Orders tab has been renamed to Cancel Sub-Orders

    • Cancel Line Items tab has been renamed to Cancel Sub-Order Line Items

Screens in CIMS Module

Modified Screens

  • Failed Orders - The screen is split into two tabs:

    • Outward Orders

    • Inward Orders

Screens in WMS Module

New Screens

  • Item Code Mapping

    • The screen can be used to map External Item Code to the Client SKU ID before GRN.

    • Once the mapping is done, during GRN, the Skip EAN / Client SKU ID Scan while GRN configuration can be turned ON and the Client SKU scan can be skipped during the GRN process.

    • This screen is visible on the WMS Home screen only when External Item Code configuration is enabled.

Modified Screens

  • In all the WMS screens, the field Item ID is renamed as Item Code irrespective of the value of External Item Code Configuration.

  • The Stickering Item screen is visible on the WMS Home screen only when the External Item Code configuration is disabled.

  • Changes in Item stickers in case of External Item Code configuration is disabled:

    • The sticker title of all Item stickers is renamed as ITEM CODE

    • The sticker title of Reprinted-Item stickers is renamed as REPRINTED ITEM CODE
